Will a podcast help prevent personal injury in a work accident?

The UK's Health and Safety Executive began releasing podcasts in 2008 as a method of contributing to its project of reducing work accidents and injuries.

Its first was an interview with the chair of the HSE's board, discussing the decision to bring consciousness of health and safety to the top levels of big companies by working with the Institute of Directors.

In this podcast, the chair says, "data once a month that says there are no injuries or accidents happening out there in your business don't necessarily tell you whether there are things going on out there that could, in due course, lead to serious incidents or accidents."

She also talks about the implications of the Corporate Manslaughter act.

Anyone interested in the subject of accidents at work, work injury and industrial disease, or health and safety in general, can find the HSE podcasts here, along with instructions on how to listen online or download for later. It is even possible to subscribe with iTunes.

Making a work accident claim
If this podcast has come too late to protect you from an injury at work, and you feel your employer was responsible for this personal injury, either through lack of training or unsafe practices, you may be eligible to make a compensation claim to cover costs and loss of future earnings.

Our knowledgeable advisors will be able to discuss your case with you, in plain English, and help you work out if you have a strong case to make. If you do decide to go ahead, we will also be able to find you a specialist industrial accident compensation solicitor from a UK legal firm that works within the Solicitors Regulation Authority's governance.

All will work on a completely free basis in a work injury compensation claim - on top of a no win, no fee agreement, we undertake to charge our winning fee to your opponent (or our insurance) in a won case, pass 100 percent compensation to you, and protect you from other costs that may arise.

Call us today on 0800 10 757 95, and let us help your work accident claim go ahead smoothly. Or use our website's online facilities (e-chat and our call-back form) to contact us online. However you reach us, we'll strive to help.
