A man from New York is hoping to secure passenger injury compensation for a train accident which led to him breaking his arm in dramatic circumstances.
A passenger injury compensation writ served by the claimant's personal injury lawyerdetails how the man was attempting to board a train when, despite being given permission to board by the conductor, its doors closed suddenly causing his arm to become trapped.
With the train accelerating out of the station, the man then had to run just to keep up – however, with his arm still stuck, the stretch of platform coming to an end and the train approaching a tunnel, he then had to make a decision: wrench himself free or face probable death.
The claimant recalls, "With all my might I yanked and pushed."
In doing so he managed to save his life and avoid a fatal train accident, but, it came at a sacrifice: he had to break his arm.
The lawyer who is representing his claim for passenger injury compensation explains, "My client basically had to save his own life, and to do that he had to break his own arm."
