Last week, 45-year-old Hollywood actress Halle Berry sustained a head injury on the set of her latest film, The Hive.
Reports suggest she was in-between shooting fight scenes when she fell and struck her head on concrete. Other reports have stated that she was hit on the head by a falling object.
She was taken to a Los Angeles hospital to be seen by medical professionals, but was released less than 48 hours after her accident.
The press were told that she had suffered a minor head injury and had returned to the set to continue filming sequences.
Potentially, if her personal injury had been more severe and had prevented her from being able to continue filming scenes for The Hive, or stopped her from continuing her career altogether, she may have been able to make a compensation claim against the liable party.
As Halle Berry is reportedly the main provider for her four-year-old daughter, and is a very successful actress, she may have been entitled to a large compensation payout had her head injury prevented her from returning to work.
