As any lawyer knows, the law is defined both by legislation and by cases that are heard in court - which means it changes. This means that any UK personal injury department worth its salt is likely to subscribe to periodicals or journals that keep its lawyers up to date with developments in the relevant field.
One such is the Journal of Personal Injury Law, a quarterly publication from APIL. This journal, through articles, comment and summaries, aims to provide information on key cases, statutes and regulations that have affected the law in the quarter before its publication date, alongside analysis of what this might mean for the solicitors working in that field and guidance for practical activity resulting from that. Read more about the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers here.
It aims to cover the law from the point of view of the claimant and defendant, which makes sense; a claimant's representative will need to be able to predict the defences of the other side, and vice-versa.
The editors claim that the authors writing for the journal are deeply involved in this area of UK law, often having worked on the cases being examined in that quarter's issue. Personal injury solicitors and barristers are invited to send in proposals for articles, thus avoiding potential blind spots that an entirely-commissioned journal might fall foul of.
Other journals are, of course, available.
Up-to-date UK personal injury representation
If you have suffered accident injury through no fault of your own - or where fault lies at least partly with another party - you may well be eligible to make a compensation claim. And here, at YouClaim, our no win, no fee solicitors pride themselves on being fully au fait with the relevant developments in the law, in the knowledge that this helps them to give their clients - you - the best chance of success.
In the vast majority of cases, we are able to provide you with a personal injury lawyer who can handle your case for free. (Sadly, there are elements of a medical negligence claim that make those cases exceptions.) No matter what caused your claim, however, we always strive to ensure you receive compensation, and - when successful, as we normally are - take no cut, guaranteeing you 100 percent compensation.
For more information regarding the ways in which a UK personal injury solicitor from YouClaim could help you, please call 0800 10 757 95, discuss your situation through our echat window, or complete an online claim form and we'll reach you instead.
