Personal injury solicitors sought by pensioner dragged by bus

In April 2010, a pensioner had to seek the advice of personal injury solicitors after being dragged by a bus for 90ft. The 64-year-old suffered severe bruising to her right arm and leg after she was trapped in the doors of the bus as she was trying to get off.

The retired BT customer service worker from Coventry now has to walk with the aid of a stick due to the pain the injuries she suffered has caused.

The driver of the Coventry bendy bus failed to notice the passenger straight away and continued driving for around 90ft. Once he realised the predicament, he stopped the bus and briefly apologised before driving off, leaving the injured woman alone on the pavement.

Speaking of her ordeal, the woman said, "I was sitting near the rear doors so those opened and I was halfway through when all of a sudden the doors just closed.

"I desperately tried to free myself as the driver drove off. I was absolutely terrified.

''The bus carried on going until it stopped in front of me. I was in a state of shock. I was just getting to my feet as the driver reached me and all he said was 'I'm sorry, I didn't see you getting off."

The woman is now making a personal injury compensation claim against the bus company for the personal injuries that she suffered in the incident.
