However, a spokesperson for the hotel responded by saying that the incident was not the responsibility of the hotel as the ski-doo had been booked in Italy with a local operator and not in the UK where the travel company is based.
While a compensation figure was not reported, due to the severity of the woman's injuries it is likely that it would have been a substantial amount if the travel company were found to have been negligent.
