A crash victim from Stockton-on-Tees is launching a £300k passenger compensation claim against the driver who put him in a wheelchair.
The victim suffered severe spinal injuries in the road traffic accident of June 2008, causing ongoing pain and spasms and the loss of normal bladder and bowel control.
His £300,000 car accident compensation claim also takes into account an expected reduction in life expectancy and his limited chances of finding work.
The accident, which took place on a North Yorkshire road, was caused by sudden braking, sending the car into an embankment. It rolled several times before coming to a halt.
According to the car accident injury claim, the driver was travelling too fast and braked too hard. She failed to drive with due care and attention, and exposed the man sitting next to her to an unnecessary and foreseeable risk.
The £300k passenger compensation claim also asks for permission to return to court if his condition deteriorates in the future.
