A cyclist has won his Scottish accident claim for injuries he sustained while cycling on an unsafe cycle path in Holyrood Park.
The 42-year-old won his Scottish accident claim at the Court of Session in Edinburgh after his personal injury lawyer successfully argued that he had been cycling safely at the time of the incident and suffered his injuries as a result of a sunken drain.
The insurance specialist suffered a broken cheekbone, wrist injury and cuts and bruises as a result of the cycling accident and has since experienced numbness and difficulty chewing.
As the cycle path is maintained by government agency Historic Scotland, the Scottish Government was found liable for the pursuer's injuries.
The Scottish accident claim was settled for £5750.
