Honda announce recall

The car manufacturer Honda is hoping to avoid potential product liability compensation claims by announcing the recall of 79,000 Civic model vehicles.

The pre-emptive product liability action comes as a result of consumer complaints about the cars rolling away. This is believed to be because of reported difficulties in using the handbrake, and although Honda claim that if manufacturer guidelines are followed correctly there should be no problems, they have offered to adapt the handbrakes at no cost.

Although there are no reports of anyone contacting no win, no fee lawyers to claim product liability compensation for injuries sustained as a result of rolling-car car accidents, Honda have acted promptly to redress the difficulty. A spokesperson commented, "Honda UK has sent letters to customers advising them to book their car into a dealership to have the new handbrake fitted free of charge".
