Cambridgeshire woman may claim over drain fall
A Cambridgeshire woman who sustained bruising to her stomach when she fell through a drain cover has contacted a firm of no win, no fee solicitors with a view to making a personal injury claim.
She commented on the incident that has led to her considering taking action through the representation of no win, no fee solicitors. She commented, "I stepped onto the drain minding my own business when the lid flipped off and I fell in. I fell in to my waist, and the lid hit me in the stomach."
Adding, "I am finding the funny side of it now, but it really did hurt."
The mother-of-two was eager to offer her thanks to the workers from a nearby factory who had helped remove her from the drain. She said, "I have to praise them to the heavens. They really helped me a great deal and even took me to the hospital so I could be checked over."
She also voiced her fears that the accident might have happened to someone more vulnerable than her, leading to more serious personal injury. "What if that was a young child taking lunch for his dad at one of the factories, or an old lady? They could scream all they want but nobody would hear them," she said.
The woman says that she has contacted a firm of no win, no fee solicitors to enquire about her entitlement to compensation and is waiting for them to consider the details of the accident before deciding whether she will proceed with her personal injury claim.
