63-year-old's cycling injury claim

Holiday accident solicitors are helping a British man claim compensation for the personal injury he suffered while cycling in Dublin.

The 63-year-old was hit by a car and suffered multiple injuries, including an eye injury, damage to his kidneys and fractures to his skull and leg.

Despite receiving intensive hospital treatment, the claimant now requires the assistance of crutches or a walking frame just to get about, a full nine months after the car accident.

However, his rehabilitation is making progress and it is likely that it will be further helped if his holiday accident solicitor is able to secure a settlement for the incident.

"[My client] suffered extremely serious and multiple injuries as a result of this accident and is now going through a long process of rehabilitation," said the man's solicitor.

She added, "His injuries were suffered through no fault of his own and it is essential that he is able to access the highest level of care and rehabilitation available. [My legal firm] is committed to helping Mr Vaughan rebuild his life and make the best recovery possible."

The claimant says that the incident has had a significant impact on his quality of life. "My life has changed completely since the accident and nothing can turn the clock back. I used to love fell walking, DIY and travelling but haven't been able to do any of these things since my accident," he said.

It is thought that the holiday accident solicitor hopes to secure settlement out-of-court.
