Warehouse worker suffers forklift injuries

A man from Suffolk has been taken to an Ipswich hospital following a forklift accident.

Although early reports of the forklift accident are quite short on detail, it is believed that the injured man suffered his injuries during the course of his job at a parcel delivery company warehouse.

Statements have been issued confirming that the man, who is thought to be 60, was both conscious and breathing upon his arrival at hospital, with none of his injuries said to be life threatening.

Suffolk police are said to have promptly investigated the accident scene, with the Health and Safety Executive now handling an official investigation.

It is not yet known whether the injured man will be seeking to make a forklift accident compensation claim.
