A driver who attempted to photograph the aftermath of a car accident in Halifax has been fined in court.
The magistrate heard that the man, a company director, leant from the window of his car while driving and used his mobile phone to take photos of a car crash scene that had left a car on its roof. The prosecutor told the court that police told the driver to stop photographing the road traffic accident as he was doing so on a busy road with cars behind and in front of his vehicle.
The driver pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, and was fined £170 plus costs and victim surcharge.
The man involved in the car accident that had been the subject of the photographs suffered minor personal injury and was treated at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. His intentions regarding a no win, no fee compensation claim have not been announced.
