Claim for hospital tragedy

The bereaved family of a woman who died in hospital following a seemingly uncomplicated blood test are considering claiming medical negligence compensation.

In September of 2006, the 59-year-old attended a Lincolnshire hospital with chest problems. The medical negligence claim would likely focus on the fact that the blood test resulted in internal bleeding, leading to the amputation of her arm and eventually to fatal multiple organ failure.

A Lincolnshire personal injury solicitors, who sometimes specialise in no win, no fee claims, confirmed that the bereaved family had contacted them with a view to making a medical negligence claim.
