Scaffolder wins High Court claim

A former scaffolder has won a construction site accident claim for the fall from height which led to him suffering a paralysing spinal injury.

The 47-year-old self-employed man was working on the first floor of a building site in Cornwall when he tripped and fell.

No win, no fee lawyers representing the man's construction site accident claim at the High Court in London successfully argued that he should receive sums for loss of earnings, pain, suffering and the cost of lifelong, future care.

However, despite agreeing to pay out injury compensation the defendant in the case did not admit to any liability for the claimant's injuries.

The construction site accident claim was settled for £1.25 million.
