One dies in Chinese tower block fall

In a striking Chinese construction accident, a 13-storey apartment building has fallen over almost intact.

According to international press, one construction worker has suffered fatal personal injury. It is believed that he had gone into the building to retrieve his tools then attempted to jump from a window as the building toppled.

Surrounding buildings are being checked, and sources say that the government has taken "appropriate control measures". 255 owners of the apartments in the fallen block are believed to have made compensation claims for refunds.

Incredibly, no one else is believed to have suffered injury in the construction accident.
