Morgan Freeman settles passenger injury claim

Veteran Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman has concluded an out-of-court car crash compensation settlement with a woman who suffered passenger injuries while travelling in the 72-year-old's car.

The lawyer who negotiated the car crash compensation payout on behalf of Mr Freeman said that the actor was "glad it was over", while the road accident lawyer of the passenger injury claimant said her client was "pleased that the matter is resolved and the case is settled".

The claimant has denied that she was "the other woman" and said that she is distressed by allegations that she "caused the breakup of Mr Freeman's marriage".

Although details of the car crash compensation deal remain undisclosed, it is understood that sums were agreed to cover permanent disability, loss of earnings, medical expenses and pain and suffering.
