Deafness compensation claims and raising awareness of hearing loss
Hear the World is an initiative set up by the Hear the World Foundation in partnership with hearing systems provider Phonak and aims to protect people's hearing worldwide while raising awareness of hearing loss, including that which affects the kinds of workers who need to make deafness compensation claims.
The foundation make much of hearing's primacy in the sphere of global communication, borrowing a quote from American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "Music is the universal language of mankind", to drive home their message.
As anyone who has made a deafness compensation claim as a result of exposure to excessive noise in the workplace will know, hearing loss has strong social and emotional aspects, and as a consequence can cause significant psychological damage.
This is underlined by the Hear the World Foundation's commitment to promoting general well-being among those with hearing loss. President of the foundation's board and Phonak CEO Dr Valentin Chapero believes more needs to be done to educate people about how deafness can affect well-being, "Hearing is quality of life, and people should be more aware of this. If we succeed in raising this awareness through Hear the World, my goal is achieved."
Awareness is also raised through partnerships with prominent players in the music industry such as Placido Domingo and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, who have been working hard to inform the public about hearing loss and the associated stigmas of hearing devices. Other ambassadors include Annie Lennox, Joss Stone, Bobby McFerrin, Harry Belafonte, Moby, Lindsay Lohan, Smokey Robinson and Amy Winehouse.

No win, no fee lawyers working for industrial deafness claimants

All are governed by the industry benchmark standards of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and all represent workplace deafness claims on a, win or lose, no costs or fees basis.
In the statistically unlikely event of your case being unsuccessful, we use an ATE insurance scheme to protect you from all the opponents costs; while in a won case we charge them our winning fees.
