Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery, sometimes known as otorhinolaryngology, is a sector of medicine that may carry serious repercussions in the rare occurrence that medical negligence occurs.
This is, in part, because the operations that are performed are in or near the head - a slip of the scalpel can lead to a damaged facial nerve or to the nerve that connects to the vocal chords, either of which could seriously impede the use of expressive muscles.
