At the time of second incident, a spokesperson from Isle of Wight Council commented, "We understand the police are investigating the road safety aspects of the accident and we cannot comment further on these at this stage.
"The council's own health and safety officers are also carrying out an internal investigation. We have a responsibility to ensure that health and safety arrangements in council car parks meet all legal requirements."
