George Clooney takes the blame for spinal injury sustained on set
Hollywood star, George Clooney is taking full responsibility for sustaining a spinal injury in an accident at work on set for his new film.
Clooney put on 30 pounds in 30 days for his role in Syriana. He thinks that the extra weight caused him to tear his dura, the part that secures the spinal fluid around the spine.
The actor believes he got carried away while filming and did not allow for the excess weight he was carrying. He said this of his spinal injury: ‘It was my own fault. I’m 44, not 34, and I was doing all the things I could do when I was 170 pounds, not 207 pounds, so that was a big difference.’
Clooney states that he would have spared himself the pain and suffering that the spinal injury brought if he had taken it easier on his heavier body. This suggests that this is one Hollywood star that will not be seeking personal injury compensation.
