This new service offers mums-to-be vital information, helping mother and baby to be healthy, before, during and after the birth."
Such steps to provide more choice and empowerment to those using maternity services can only be viewed in a positive light. However, it remains to be seen whether the Pregnancy Care Planner will accompany a general downward trend in the rates of maternity and obstetric negligence and fewer payouts of birth injury compensation.
